ELK RIVER, Minn. –– Elk River police arrested a man riding a bicycle after a bank robbery occurred at the Bank of Elk River at 9:15 am Wednesday. Police were called after a suspicious man with his face wrapped in bandages and a hooded sweatshirt over his head entered the bank. He told the bank employees that his bandages were the result of his involvement in a car crash as only his nose and lips were exposed.
Joshua Gene Paulson, 23, put the money in his backpack and mounted his bike as he got away with a “fair amount of cash.” Police found him a few blocks away and took him to Sherburne County Jail.
