Drug Sting Leads to 100 arrests in St. Paul

ST. PAUL –  After two crackdowns against downtown drug dealing, St. Paul police went to residential neighborhoods in a three-month undercover operation that led to arrests and charges against 100 people.

Police identified high drug traffic spots through crime statistics mapping, citizen input and patrol officer reports outside of downtown. The downtown area still hosted some drug traffic but has improved considerably.

The spring crackdown went from early March to mid-June where 100 people, including 12 juveniles, who were charged with felony-level narcotics offenses.

Police are working to ensure that this area has been cleaned up of drug dealers.
