VINING, Minn.- Authorities report that a 78-year-old man died after he was hit by a car as he drove his lawnmower on the highway.
The sheriff reported that the driver of the lawnmower, Wayne Mervin Gunderson, was turning his mower around on the county highway near Vining on Thursday when he was hit.
Later, Gunderson was airlifted to a Fargo hospital where he later died.
The driver of the car was taken to a Fergus Falls hospital where she was treated and released.
