MOSCOW, Russia- NATO and Russia held a high-level meeting of foreign ministers Saturday to pledge to resume full military cooperation in hopes of mending the damaged ties from the war in Georgia last year.
Russia’s ministers gathered on the Greek island of Corfu to discuss areas of cooperation including the war in Afghanistan, nuclear proliferation, piracy, terrorism and drug trafficking.
Both sides did not agree on the issue of Georgia, but the meeting signals improving relations between Russia and the west.
