MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-Two Hennepin County Medical Center ambulances were involved in separate crashes within a few minutes of each other.
The first of the crashes occurred in north Minneapolis at 3:15 a.m. when an ambulance crashed into a taxi. According to police officers, the cab driver was found at fault, as he did not yield to the ambulance.
The second occurred in downtown Minneapolis when a minivan hit an ambulance that was on its way to the scene of the first accident.
The minivan did not have its lights on and was arrested for intoxicated driving. Eight people were involved in this series of ambulance accidents but only the cab driver and two passengers were hospitalized.
