WASHINGTON- The Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that the United States’ government has approved another billion dollars to purchase components needed to make the swine flu vaccine. She also revealed that research has been undertaken to create a safe and effective vaccine to fight a new flu strain that could result in a pandemic.
Top officials are preparing for fall’s flu season. Leaders are keeping a close eye on the Southern Hemisphere to see how serious our flu season may become.
