There's a new sketch comedy show in town, and it's coming at you with a whole new gimmick.

Every Friday, a new episode of "Acceptable TV" premieres on VH1.

It consists of five sketches, four made by the writers of the show, and one user-submitted video that gets voted on via www.acceptable.tv.

You watch the five sketches, and then go to the site and vote on your favorites. The two most popular sketches get a new segment on the show the following week.

It's a noble new approach, a chance for the weird stuff and truly funny to make a comeback.

Then there's the chance for amateurs to get a footing and show off their wares, which are also voted on at the site.

The interactive part is a nice twist indeed. After the first episode, who wouldn't want to see more of "Homeless James Bond?"

It's complete with the opening of every Bond movie. You know, the slow walk into the barrel of a gun.

Instead of slick graphics, it's a sheet of cardboard with sights drawn on it and a hole showing homeless Bond, who throws a rock at the sights.

It's complete with cheap, red paint flowing down after he fires, symbolizing the death of a rival spy.

In this episode, Bond goes up against a man who has set up a banking system involving recyclables.

He's the typical villain, complete with a master plan. "Soon I won't be homeless. I will be poor."

Then there's the hilarious "Operation Kitten Calendar," which is an "Apprentice" parody where different photographers have to compete to make the best month they can.

The contestants choose kittens from crates at the beginning of each challenge, which leads to a funny moment when one of the contestants wakes up late and there's only one cat left to choose from. It's an ugly, fat, fully-grown orange tabby.

One of the other interesting aspects is that in each episode, a short from the Internet is featured, and that too can be voted back for another episode.
