Album Review

The industrial threshold that once deranged the underground airwaves during the 1990s is back with the reformation and re-mixed album by the Al Jourgensen led Revolting Cocks.

The chicken headed maniacal magicians of sound have taken RevCo's sounds, which were last heard in 1993, and come back in 2007 with a jockstrap full of innuendo.

Now they have re-mixed the new sound to create yet another mystical musical creation, titled the "Cocktail Mixxx."

The electro-sonic boom of energy and industrial mind shaking beats makes this album a sexual revolution to shake any Cock fan's exterior club motives.

After RevCo released "Cocked and Loaded" in 2007, they hit the road to shake audiences with Ministry, with members who are currently in the Revolting Cocks.

The team of hell-casting music makers, better known as the Revolting Cocks, is made up of Al Jourgensen (Ministry) lead vocals and guitar, Luc Van Acker (Revolting Cocks) on vocals, Phildo Owen (RevCo, Skatenigs, Snow Black) on vocals, Josh Bradford (Stayte) on vocals, Anna K (Drain, Hanzel und Gretyl) on bass, Seven Antonopoulos (Opiate For the Masses) drums, Sin (Society 1) on guitar, and Clayton Worbeck (Stayte) on keyboards.

The mass squadron of beat thrashing musical making abominations use the original sounds to mix up a "Cocktail" similar to any Molotov Cocktail ready to be thrown during a sexual riot.

The album opens up with a re-charged version of "Fire Engine," though this is the "Gumby Mixxx." The sped up version of the original has a swinging axe approach to a metal seduction ride layered with horns and imaginative flashing lights.

The album continues with warped tracks to let LSD-filled minds soak in the layers of sound waves piled atop one another.

On "Caliente (Searing Social Problem Mix)" the slow paced clapping sedatives of sound soothes the ear drums and allows the vocals to hypnotize the listener.

The chanting sound waves of the word "Jesus" lets the Devil inside the listener to feel the pain of the musical Cock-built torture chamber.
