While I'm not a big fan of hypocrites, I must say, it is fun to watch their trials and tribulations play out in the press.
Hypocrites received major airplay these past few weeks after conservative lawmaker Larry Craig was caught tapping his foot and waving his hand where he shouldn't have been tapping his foot and waving his hand - a men's bathroom stall in the Minneapolis airport.
He pled guilty to the charges at first, but after the media got wind of the Bathroomgate scandal, Craig recanted his plea and made several statements about being completely innocent and set up.
I'm sure.
Let's be honest with ourselves Mr. Craig. Everyone, except maybe your wife that is, is completely fine with you being an allegedly closeted gay male.
There's nothing wrong with that, and haven't we all felt the need to give in to temptations in a bathroom at some point in our lives?
You were hoping to get away with having a quickie in the stall with a man, and then go home to your wife, who I'm sure you're madly attracted to. I'm sure it's happened to lots of guys.
But what makes you so unique, Mr. Craig, is the ingenious way you set yourself up for a lifetime of ridicule and scorn.
You see, the entire time you've been tapping your foot in various stalls around the country-because I'm pretty sure this wasn't the first time you took a dip in the affair pool-you've been throwing your weight behind anti-gay and pro-family values legislation.
Classic.
And the hypocrites don't stop at conservative policy-makers, for the entire spectrum of Democratic presidential candidates have all but made a mockery of the issue most claim to be high on their to do lists-global warming.
You see, in order to stop or ease global warming, the amount of energy being used by any one individual must be slowed or at least cut back.
Simple things such as turning lights off when not in use or watching the amount of water used while brushing one's teeth are easy measures that can be implemented to help conserve the world's energy.
