ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- The 19th Annual Companion Walk For Animals raised a total of $48,000 Saturday for the Tri-County Humane Society, and that total does not include money raised through the event's silent auction and concessions.
Last year's event took in a total of $53,000, and organizers say they expect this year's event to match that total after all proceeds are tallied.
Nearly 300 people and 200 dogs attended this year's walk.
