Student organizations lined the sidewalks of the Atwood Mall Thursday afternoon for the annual SCSU event, Mainstreet.

The event was well attended despite the sweltering heat that persisted throughout the afternoon.

Nearly 200 groups and companies gathered to attract members or show off their products. Mainstreet was sponsored by the Center for Student Organizations and Leadership Development (CSOLD).

Groups in attendance ranged from the Women's Center to UPB to Coborn's. Coborn's passed out free food and coupons to students, while other organizations, like Bio Life Plasma Services, set up appointments.

Various sports clubs and cultural groups also had items on display for interested spectators.
