It's the saddest story in professional sports history, and unfortunately, it keeps getting worse.

Former heavyweight champion "Iron" Mike Tyson's life continues to make headlines in all the wrong ways.

The 41-year-old Tyson is now facing up to four years in prison, as he pleaded guilty to drug and driving under the influence charges.

This encounter has become just another expected low point for the former king of the boxing world.

Tyson was seen leaving the appropriately named Scottsdale, Ariz. club, the Pussycat Lounge, and arrested by police, who found him in his BMW with slurred speech and saw him wiping a white substance off his dashboard.

Tyson later told police he uses cocaine whenever he can get his hands on it and that he prefers to smoke it in cigarettes with the tobacco taken out.

He also admitted to smoking marijuana and taking the anti-depressant Zoloft earlier in the day.

Essentially, Tyson had a potent mix of mind-altering drugs entered into his veins and body, all to attempt to escape the pathetic adventure he calls his life.

His life has never been a pleasing one, as it has been filled with one low point after low point of people using him.

Tyson's life got off to a rough start in his hometown of Brooklyn. His father abandoned his mother, Lorna Smith Tyson, when he was just two.

His mother was forced to fend for the family by herself, giving minimal attention to the young Tyson.

Tyson soon retaliated with the problems of his life by turning to petty crimes. When he turned 13, he had already been arrested 38 times.

He was expelled from his junior high and had numerous stays in juvenile detention centers.

Tyson finally began to settle down when he was admitted to the Tyron Boy's School, where he began to take boxing.

The world would never be the same.

Tyson soon became one of the most recognizable athletes of the world and developed into the best pound-for-pound fighter to ever enter a ring.
