DUMAS, Ark. - A 10-year-old boy led police on a chase Friday after he took a school bus for a ride along a rural highway.
School officials spotted lights at 11 p.m. coming from the bus yard and reported the bus stolen. It took officers from four towns, three counties and Arkansas State Police to stop the bus.
It ended up to be about a 44-mile chase before officers stopped the vehicle and discovered their suspect was a child.
They arrested the boy and took him into custody.
School officials said he had been part of a group caught on camera trying to pull the same prank last month, according to KATV television station in Little Rock.
