ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- A Life Link III helicopter crashed Monday night at St. Cloud Regional Airport in what company officials called a "hard landing."
Three crew members walked away from the crash uninjured after taking off around 6:30 p.m. to pick up a patient.
Soon after takeoff, the crew members were unable to make contact with the control room of the airport and turned around to make a return to the landing area.
There was damage to the helicopter, and it had to be removed from service.
