Man dies after being bitten by bat

MONTICELLO, Minn. -- Randy Hertwig, 46, of Monticello, died of rabies contracted from a bat.
He was being treated at the Mayo Clinic, where he eventually died.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, he was bitten by a bat in August in north central Minnesota.
Because no blood was drawn, he did not think he had been bitten.
