What are the similarities between a microwave and the Internet?

The question sounds a little absurd, since the microwave is a modern day cooking aid, and the Internet is a modern day browsing aid.

Both of them were invented in the 21st century and have become some of the most integral parts of our lives.

Both of these things have reached the point to where we can't carry on with our daily lives or even survive without them.

You need a microwave to cook just about anything, and you can live off a microwave for everyday purposes for the rest of your life.

You can do a lot of crazy things with a microwave; you can cook, boil and even burn your food.

Not to mention, Ramen Noodles cook the best in a microwave.

As for the Internet, it is the tool of the century. You can sit in front of the Internet, and the world will be at your fingertips. You can take virtual tours all over the world, buy anything online and even download tips for cooking in a microwave.

Both of these things have made human life easier and more accessible.

All you need now is an Internet-enabled microwave and life would be one easy thing to work on.

You have the world beneath your feet and can make the best food of your unlimited choice in our developed society.

Will this make the world a better place to live in, or am I just being satirical toward our modern day luxuries?

When we have a world around us that is in dire need of change for food, shelter and survival - then maybe it will.
