Kettle holiday fundraiser kicks off

BLAINE, Minn. -- The Salvation Army will begin its 12-hour Red Kettle Kickoff celebration fundraiser themed "Make Big Change" at 6 a.m. Thursday in Blaine at the Cub Foods near Interstate Highway 35W.
The official kettle campaign gets underway Friday and runs through Dec. 24.
The Salvation Army raised $865,000 in kettle donations at Cub storefronts last year.
