Most college students enjoy being fed for free. Thus, Atwood After Dark is a good a deal for students on a Friday night, especially when hamburgers, potato chips and soda are served. The meal fit well with the rock 'n' roll theme for the event. The activities ranged from Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) and Guitar Hero, to a make your own T-shirt and make your own music video option.

'Atonement' captures shadows of war with soothing cinematography and performances

Movie Review It is no surprise "Atonement" is one of the movies nominated for best picture at this year's Oscars. Director Joe Wright springs Ian McEwan's celebrated 2001 novel to life enthrallingly and vividly. Its largely set in 1930s and '40s England, about an adolescent outburst of spite that destroys two lives.

Gramma's Saggy Jug wins jug band contest

The temperature may have been well below zero Feb. 10, but inside the Cabooze Bar in Minneapolis the atmosphere was as warm as a family reunion on a hot summer day for the 26th annual Battle of the Jug Bands competition. Twenty bands were present for the competition, some local and some hailing from as far as Chicago, including the reigning champions from last year, Hump Night Thumpers.

Magazine helps build portfolios

Four years of college just doesn't seem enough to land that dream job for many students. They are expected to conquer the world even before being looked at by some big name corporations. However, there are more opportunities for students to be on the top of their game as they enter the "real world," apart from college life.
