PRSSA encourages travel to Europe
What Happens on the Bus, Stays on the Bus is a program sponsored by the SCSU Public Relations Student Society of America to encourage more students to travel to Europe and Australia via motor coach tours. As part of the program an event will take place on the Atwood Mall Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A decorated tour bus will be driven on the mall and treasure maps will be distributed throughout the day that indicate where students can find traveling tips and ideas at various travel and tourism booths in the Atwood Glacier Room. Students who follow the map to the end will be eligible for prizes.
CD-roms and other gifts courtesy of Bernick Pepsi, Hemsing Deli, Campus Books and Supply, Ocean Breeze Tanning and Caribou Coffee will be given to students who participate in the event.
Pioneer Place gives Valentine show
Pioneer Place on Fifth in St. Cloud will be giving away a heart shaped pocket memento and a free glass of champagne to everyone in the audience for their special Valentine's Day show, "Educating Rita".
"Educating Rita" is a comedy about a British hairdresser on a quest for higher education. She ends up finding that education and a little romance through tutoring sessions with a literature professor.
Tickets for the show are available at the Veranda at Pioneer Place. The cost is $16. The show will also be playing on Feb. 9 and Feb. 16.
