Corpses resurface in rural Georgia

More than 97 corpses have been recovered from storage sheds and in the woods behind Tri-State Crematory in Noble, Georgia.

The search for the bodies began on Friday when a woman walking her dog found a skull near the woods. Many families of the deceased are distraught over having to identify the bodies that they thought had been put to rest. Sixteen bodies have been identified so far.

Officials have declared a state of emergency and are requesting federal assistance and equipment to process the remains. Investigators believe that the crematory had been stacking the bodies on top of each other for more than 15 years. Authorities expect the body count to reach over 200.

U.S. citizen arrested in Romania

Sorin Dragoi, 32, of Troy, Mich., was arrested on Saturday after a 5.6 millimeter Baretta was discovered in one of his bags at the airport in Timisoara, Romania.

The weapon was found hidden in green foam in the false bottom of a jewelry box. Dragoi did not give an explanation as to why he was carrying the gun. He did say that he had returned to his native country to visit his sick father.

Because of the concealed weapon, Dragoi could be convicted of illegal weapons possession and smuggling which could send him to prison for up to seven years.
