American Red Cross worker Raymond Zachman checks the bag collecting Rachel Olivanti's blood Wednesday in the Atwood Ballroom. Zachman graduated from SCSU in 1996 with a degree in community health. Olivanti is a junior finance major who gave blood for the first time Wednesday. "Figured it was something you could do to help," she said. Olivanti also said she is not afraid of blood or needles so giving blood went well for her.
