Walk on by

This opinion is in response to Mr. Saatzer's opinion from Monday (University Chronicle, Feb. 25). If you don't want to talk to the Army recruiters in Atwood, then don't. All you have to do is just walk right by them like half of the rest of the students at this school do.

What do you think about the religious booths that are always in Atwood? Do they make Atwood a relaxing environment? Or how about the cell phone companies?

I don't personally enjoy their presence when I'm in Atwood, but I just walk right by them and try not to complain, because they have a right to be there just as much as the military recruiters do. Also, do you think that if a few Americans go over to Afghanistan and hug some members of the Taliban, everything will be peachy keen again? You need to remember that the Taliban started this conflict, not us. If they had you in their sights they would gun you down, no questions asked. Our military is defending our country, which is more than I can say for you.

If you don't like the way America runs, then I suggest you either run for Congressional office and change it, or move to Canada.
