Just say no to more parking!
Saint Cloud State is not a strip mall! It is a university campus, where you are not supposed to pull to into a parking spot right next to your class. I urge everyone to think before supporting more parking on campus. Do not let the cloud of laziness impair your critical thinking. Along with more parking areas, becomes congestion, traffic�hell maybe even a stoplight. I do not want to worry about jaywalking while trying to make it to my next class.
I currently enjoy the way campus is setup. It is very compact and convenient to walk from building to building. More parking would ruin the aura of campus. Already there is too much traffic on campus. I understand that the campus is expanding. However, if you need to drive to campus what is wrong with parking in K or Q lot? A short little walk will not hurt you too much. In fact, you may get a little exercise while at it. If parking is truly a problem, then I support building a ramp onto places like K and Q lot, but we do not need anymore parking on the north side of the 10th street bridge. In fact, I wish we would eliminate all parking on this side of campus (except for handicap spots) and replace them with some nice scenery. I think we need to take a good look at our campus and take advantage of its convenience. I do not want campus to develop into something like the U of M where you have to drive from east bank to west bank. If you do, go there instead!!
