James Bond movie shoot causes injury
Actress Halle Berry was hurt by shrapnel on Wednesday during the filming of the latest James Bond movie in Spain.
According to London Daily Telegraph reports, a piece of debris from a smoke grenade flew into her left eye during a scene that involved co-star Pierce Brosnan shooting down a helicopter. Berry was taken to a clinic and the fragment was removed in a 30-minute operation.
She has since returned to the set with an inflamed cornea. The injury will not leave her with any lasting damage.
Bank declares 400 customers dead
Four hundred customers of Central Carolina Bank in North Carolina were accidentally declared dead due to a banking error.
Bank officials said the error, which caused customers' April Social Security checks to be sent back to the government, was caused by some confusion after Central Carolina Bank merged with 37 First Union banks. The accounts that were affected were ones acquired from two banks in western North Carolina and Savannah, Ga.
Central Carolina Bank assured the customers that their accounts would be resurrected and that they should be able to deposit their May Social Security checks without a problem.
