Lights, camera, action!

I want to reassure students and the entire campus community that although the Department of Theater, Film Studies and Dance is undergoing major changes, the Film Studies Program is stable, healthy, and will continue to thrive. One could read Leslie Andre's recent article and mistakenly draw the conclusion that Film Studies is going away, but nothing could be further from the truth. Most of the changes being discussed for the department have to do with the Theater Program.

Enrollments in film classes are at record highs and we have exciting plans for the future. Students interested in fall film courses should keep an eye on the on-line registration site because there are even a few new film classes in the works.

Anyone interested in further information is welcome to contact me at (320) 255-3228 or [email protected].

Professor of Film Studies
