This was the first birthday event KVSC that provided an all ages event.
"The fact that we had an all ages show, that was nice," said Music Director Matt Moeller. "We catered to them."
Saturday was followed with the KVSC free barbecue and an all access pass to 88.1FM where the public was invited to KVSC's Mississippi River backyard and studios. Dog Pookah provided live music while free tours and free food were provided. "Very few stations keep the hard CD," said Jo McMullen Station Manager.
"It's important to have those CD's on hand."
Now there will be large moveable racks for the storage of the massive collections of music. Like in the basement of the Miller Center, these racks will be accordion style moveable and will allow for better storage.
"On Mondays we get probably 30-60 CDs," said Moeller. "We receive anywhere form20-100 CD's a week."
KVSC is known for their activities, one such popular one is Trivia Weekend, where the radio transmits an all out Trivia fest for groups all over the country. It consists of 50 hours of random trivia questions and points.
