Second missing boater safe; search continues for third on Mississippi
Authorities have resumed their search in the Mississippi River as there is still one man missing when he and two companions fell into the water after their boat capsized Tuesday evening.
The first man was able to swim to shore immediately. The second man called police about 4 a.m. to say he was safe.
The 14-foot boat capsized when it was swept into barges who were in an industrial area in north Minneapolis. The reason behind how the men lost control of the boat has yet to be determined. Searchers have used sonar equipment to try and find the last man, but have been limited in marking spots.
