Northwestern Minnesota to receive $32 million in flood relief and aid
Plans for flood relief for those who experienced heavy rains this summer have added up to a $32 million dollar price tag.

Members of Gov. Ventura’s staff have worked towards an agreement that would aid Roseau, Ada, Warrod, Mahnomen and other communities that experienced rain damage and flooding in June.

The agreement came on the best solution derived from taking the $10 million in cash reserved for other state projects to pay for these repairs now and pay the money back later.

Tina Schreiner, a former SCSU and Rocori High School student, has agreed to play professional basketball for the Angers in France for one year.

Angers is in northwestern France, and Schreiner will be spending the next week in France to make agreements on living and salary.

Schreiner graduated last spring with a degree in sports management and has acted as her own agent.  She has made several contacts with European teams and had recently turned down one offer.
