Teacher threatens with blue tape
A student has been pulled from the kindergarten classroom at St. Robert’s Bellarmine’s Academy where the teacher sent home an alarming letter.
The teacher sent a letter to parents late last week stating, that as a last resort she would put blue masking tape over the mouths of students who weren’t quiet.
On Monday, the school sent letters from the district superior stating that the school and the Society of Saint Pius X forbids the use of corporal punishment and the tape is not an acceptable resort for punishment. The teacher has been reprimanded, but not fired as she had not actually used the tape.
