Escaped tiger forces people indoors A 400-pound Bengal tiger escaped from a trailer early Saturday morning.
Residents in Bloomington, Ill. near Illinois State University were warned to stay in their homes as zoo experts tried to capture the animal.
The tiger, which had been hiding in some shrubbery, was finally killed with tranquilizer darts when it tried to escape the area.
The tiger belonged to a Texas woman, Mary Jeane Williams, who had been ordered to remove it from the state Thursday for biting a young girl.
Rapist admits guilt, boys released Five juveniles were charged with the rape and attack of a 28-year-old woman in 1989.
According to one boy’s attorney, the police separated the boys and after a grueling interrogation, each boy confessed, on camera, to attacking the woman.
Even though all of the boys were 16 years old or under, none were allowed contact with their parents at that time.
Now, a convicted rapist who claims to have found religion in prison, has admitted to committing the rape alone.
DNA from the victim’s sock confirmed that he was the rapist.
The boys have already served seven years in prison and are registered sex-offenders. Their attorneys have requested to have the convictions set aside.
