* Black Poetry Day National holiday for all Black Poets both past and present. Presented by the Council of African American Students performing various famous works of poetry and biographies. 6-8 p.m., Atwood Quarry. Free.
* Faculty Jazz Quintet Fine Arts. The SCSU Jazz Quintet performs, featuring vocalist Charmin Michelle. Come enjoy the blues and swinging jazz. 7:30-9 p.m. Radisson Hotel. Free. 
* Graduate Recital Jean Adler will perform a clarinet recital. Ruth Grant Recital Hall Performing Arts Center. 8 p.m. Free.

Saturday
* SCSU Danceteam Dance Show The SCSU Danceteam will be hosting a dance show for all dance groups/teams in the state of MN and surrounding areas. 11 a.m. Stewart Hall Auditorium. Students $5. Adults $7.

Monday
* Alcohol Awareness Week "The Wall" Students have an opportunity to address their conerns and feelings with regards to alcohol by writing on "The Wall". Atwood Mall. Free.

Tuesday 
* Last Day to drop classes with a grade of "W" by 7:50 p.m.
