Staff Report
The Vikings are coming, the Vikings are coming.
Members of the Minnesota Vikings will be participating in SCSU's NFL College Flag Football program. They will perform the coin toss for the finals of the flag football intramural league. Campus Rec has headed the league, and will also take charge of this endeavor.
NFL College Flag Football went through each college's intramural program providing the footballs, flag belts, field signage and other equipment during the league schedule.
Each intramural program holds a "Championship Bash" at the end of the schedule, with SCSU's taking place at Selke Field today at 3 p.m. Two semifinal games will start off the activities, with the finals beginning soon thereafter. The Vikings in attendance will do the coin toss for the final game.
SCSU is one of 32 schools around the country participating in the league. Two of those 32 instituions will be randomly selected to field a team for a Super Bowl exhibition in San Diego in January. KDWB-FM will also participate in the festivities.
