Four students missing around area
Four students have been reported missing in Minnesota and Wisconsin over the past two weeks.

Josh Guimond, 20, who attends St. John’s University, disappeared Saturday night after leaving a party on campus. Erika Marie Dalquist, 21, reported missing in Brainerd, disappeared Oct. 30. Michael J. Knoll, 22, who attends the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, disappeared Nov. 6. Missing since Oct. 31 is Christopher Jenkins, 21, who attends the University of Minnesota.

The searches continue for the missing students. Police have been using helicopters, horseback, the Minnesota National Guard, by foot and with bloodhounds.

The cases have not been linked, but police are looking into any similarities. Anyone with information on any of these cases is asked to call police.

Man shoots horse instead of deer
A 12-year-old-girl was riding her horse when a neighbor shot the horse, nearly killing it in Browns Valley, Minn.

The neighbor, an 89-year-old man sitting in a chair 200 yards away, fired a 12-gauge slug into the shoulder of the 9-year-old horse. He claimed he thought the horse was a deer. The girl was not injured and no charges were filed. However, the horse is still in critical condition.
