Kubisiak takes over paper
University Chronicle Managing Editor Kristen J. Kubisiak was named editor of the paper Thursday, for spring semester, 2003.
Kubisiak succeeds Leslie Andres, who graduates this semester. She was picked following interviews conducted Wednesday at the office of the Mass Communications Department. Other finalists for the position were Blair Schlichte and Carol Seavey, the paper's current co-visuals editor and news editor respectively.
The decision was made by a panel of interviewers comprising Andres, Michael Vadnie, who is University Chronicle's adviser, and Sheila Bussinger of the St. Cloud Times, who is a former associate editor of University Chronicle.
Kubisiak is a senior majoring in Mass Communications -- news editorial sequence -- with a minor in creative writing.
