Demonstrators protest against war
Hundreds of antiwar demonstrators marched in the West Bank and Seward neighborhoods of Minneapolis as the U.S. heads for a possible war with Iraq.

Organizers of Saturday's event said they wanted to have a strong presence on the eve of what is expected to be an important week in the Iraq debate.

The march on Saturday was the third war protest in the U.S., including one in Washington, D.C. two weekends ago that drew tens of thousands of people.

Monday is the deadline for weapons inspectors in Iraq to report to the U.N. Security Council. On Tuesday, President Bush will give his State of the Union address.

Man sentenced for child abuse
A 54-year-old businessman was sentenced Friday to 72 years in prison for sexually abusing minors that worked for his Moorhead company.

David Ortner was convicted in Clay County District Court of sexually molesting five boys who worked at his company, D&M Technologies. One of the victims is now an adult.

During the trial, three men testified that Ortner had molested them decades ago. Prosecutors said that the three men's cases were too old to charge. The abuse included oral and anal sex.

Ortner will not be released from prison until he is 102.
