Two top 10 teams up next for SCSU

The Huskies women's basketball team won't have it easy this week with two of the hottest teams in the NCC coming to town.
With a conference record of 3-8, the team has been looking forward to these next three home games as a crutch to get back on track, but the first two bring juggernauts North Dakota State and North Dakota into Halenbeck.
The first giant the Huskies will look to slay will be North Dakota State on Thursday evening. The No. 5 Bison are coming off an embarrassing 30 point loss to top-ranked South Dakota State last Saturday and may be looking to take it out on the Huskies. The loss snapped NDSU's five-game winning streak.
The Bison are tough inside with three forwards over six feet tall. Led offensively by senior forward Beth Bue, who averages 14.1 ppg and junior center Michelle Fricke (12.5), the team has a deep bench and can wear teams out with their depth as well as their size.
The Bison are extremely tough at 8-3, averaging nearly 81 ppg while allowing only 65. Their three losses came to SDSU twice and UND once, but have fared well against everyone else.
Things won't get any easier on Saturday as the Huskies will need to contend with North Dakota. UND is in second place in the conference at 10-2 and are ranked seventh in the nation. The team is riding a hot streak after they became the first team all season to defeat South Dakota State, 86-62 last Thursday in Grand Forks.
The "Fighting Sioux" are multi-faceted offensively and are led by senior forward Becky Moen. Moen was named NCC Player of the Week Monday for the second time of the season, and the seventh time in her career. She leads UND with an average of 20.4 ppg, and averaged 19 points and 1.5 rebounds in a weekend sweep of SDSU and MSU, Mankato.
North Dakota has won four straight and won't play Thursday before they come to St. Cloud Saturday. The Sioux are extremely high-powered offensively averaging a conference-high 84.4 ppg. while allowing only 63.5 ppg.
Undersized and overmatched, the Huskies will need to shoot extremely well from the outside and have a limited amount of turnovers if they want to pull off an upset.
