Gasoline spill caused no damage Officials said the St. Cloud area will likely experience no environmental damage from a spill of more than 1,100 gallons of gasoline.
The gas spilled Monday morning onto the streets and into the storm sewer system from First Fuel Bank. It ended up in the Sauk River, which flows into the Mississippi River and provides St. Cloud's water supply.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and St. Cloud Fire Department have been monitoring the situation.
East Side Oil Companies, which owns First Fuel Banks, has determined that an inattentive driver caused the accident. The driver has been disciplined, although the company would not specify the punishment. It is unclear how much cleanup will cost.
Man arrested for posing as Twins player Ramsey County authorities suspect a 21-year-old man was casing homes to rob. But Dewitt Alonzo Davison said he was just trying to impress his fiancee.
Davison told real estate agents he had recently signed a $17 million contract with the Twins and wanted to buy a home. He provided a letter, purportedly from the Twins, that verified his financial status. The real estate agent contacted the Twins, who said they had no one by that name under contract.
Davison was arrested for being a military deserter. He admitted he misrepresented himself, but said he never intended to scam anybody.
