NFL mock draft has arrived
By Derek Sullivan

Why am I so opposed to the NFL draft? I can't tell you. All I know is I own seven draft magazines, and have studied every one 40 times for over 200 college football players.
For me, Saturday is a holiday. I will sit in front of my 19-inch television for 10 hours anxiously awaiting every pick.
Every year, for as long as I can remember, my friends and I have filled out mock drafts. This year is no different. Here is my most recent mock draft. Hopefully this year, I will break my record by successfully picking the future destination for seven college stars.
San Diego: Eli Manning QB. The Ole Miss product has the bloodlines and a last name that will sell seats. You will hear trade rumors, but Manning will be in sunny California next season.
Cleveland (trade with Raiders): Robert Gallery OT. The Browns desperately need a left tackle and the Iowa product is considered the only can't-miss blocker. Look for the Browns to trade a couple picks to snatch the former Hawkeye.
Arizona: Larry Fitzgerald WR. The Pitts wide receiver will be in Tempe next year. This is the only lock in the draft.
New York Giants: Ben Roethlisberger QB. After missing out on Manning, they take big Ben from Miami (Ohio).
Jacksonville (trade with Washington): Roy Williams WR. The Jaguars could not trade up seven places to get Fitzgerald, so instead trade up four to take the Texas All-American.
Detroit Lions: Sean Taylor SS. The Miami, Fla. safety solidifies a Lions' secondary. Taylor's size, speed and coverage ability makes him the draft's number one defensive player.
Oakland Raiders: Kellen Winslow Jr. TE. The Raiders rolled the dice that Roy Williams would drop to seven. Oops. They instead give Gannon a big-time target at tight end.
Atlanta Falcons: Will Allen DE. The Falcons need a defensive end and the Ohio State Buckeye slowly climbed up the draft board and lands in the top 10.
Washington: Tommie Harris DT. The Oklahoma defensive tackle was once considered the draft's number one prospect. New head coach Joe Gibbs loves to run the ball and stop the run. Harris will plug the middle.
Houston Texans: DeAngelo Hall CB. The Virginia Tech speedster helps at two areas: cornerback and kick returns.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Phillip Rivers QB. The former North Carolina State signal caller impressed every team he worked out for, including the Steelers.
New York Jets: Lee Evans WR. New York will soon learn what Big Ten fans already know: Evens cannot be guarded. Mike William's eligibility problems move the former Wisconsin wide receiver up a couple slots.
Buffalo Bills: Kenechi Udeze DE. The USC defensive lineman was slotted to go in the top 10. The Bills pass on a couple of need areas when Udeze falls into their lap.
Chicago Bears: Vince Wilfork DT. The Bears' prayers go unanswered when the Bills take Udeze. The Bears need a defensive tackle and take the former Miami Hurricane.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Reggie Williams WR. The Washington Husky receiver has been linked to the Bucs for months.
San Francisco: Steven Jackson RB. Dennis Erickson coached Jackson at Oregon State. The Broncos hope to take the Jackson at 17, so close yet so far away.
Denver: DJ Williams OLB. The Broncos wanted Jackson but missed out. The former Hurricane is the draft's best linebacker and Denver usually draft all-pro backs in the seventh round.
New Orleans: Dunta Robinson CB. The Saints are giddy to see the South Carolina product fall to them. He fills a major need at corner.
Minnesota Vikings: Jonathon Vilma LB. No surprise here. The Miami linebacker and the Vikings have been linked for a while.
Miami Dolphins: Shawn Andrews OT. The Arkansas lineman might be overweight (370 lbs.) but he's good.
Dallas Cowboys: Chris Perry RB. The Michigan All-American give Bill Parcells an every down running back.
Seattle Seahawks: Darnell Dockett DT. The Florida State defensive tackle jumped up the board and fills a big need in the Northwest.
Cincinnati Bengals: Chris Gamble CB. The Bengals traded back seven spots for additional draft picks. Good news for the Bengals is the player they would have taken at 17 is available at 24.
Green Bay Packers: JP Loseman QB. The Packers need to groom a QB and the Tulane product has an arm that can penetrate the cold winds of Lambeau Field.
St. Louis Rams: Antwan Odom DE. The Rams love to reach for players with potential. Odom is an athletic freak from Alabama and fills a need at defensive end.
Tennessee Titans: Randy Starks DT. Why does it seem that every year a big time player falls to Tennessee? Starks is a huge motor defensive tackle from Maryland.
Philadelphia Eagles: Ricardo Colclough CB. Colclough starred at Div. II Tusculum. The speedster helps at corner and kickoff returns.
Indianapolis Colts: Teddy Lehman LB. Dungy loves undersized players that starred in college (Derrick Brooks, Dwight Freeney). The former Oklahoma All-American solves the linebacker problem.
Kansas City Chiefs: Rashaun Woods WR. Kansas City located in the middle of Big 12 country, where no receiver, including Roy Williams, put up numbers like Woods.
Carolina Panthers: Bob Sanders SS. This hard-hitting safety from Iowa perfectly combines speed and strength. He will become a big-time fan favorite.
New England Patriots: Sean Jones SS. The Georgia safety reminds people of former Patriot Lawyer Milloy.
