Speakers at the ceremony include SCSU President Roy Saigo, Provost Michael Spitzer, Vice President of Administrative Affairs Steve Ludwig. Child and family studies major, Kristina Meier will give the commencement address.

Gov. Pawlenty thanks National Guard
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and his wife thanked members of the National Guard Saturday at the Minnesota National Guard Officer Association's 99th general conference banquet.

Pawlenty praised the men and women in uniform saying they are heroes, role models and examples of strength, resilience and perseverance. Pawlenty also said it is important to support the troops, though many people do not support their mission in Iraq.

First lady Mary Pawlenty also expressed her gratitude to the 250-member audience. She offered support to families that have loved ones in the military.
